This beauty has been used occasionally for over a year. 10/100 Ethernet only uses 4 wires.  Gigabit ,which uses all 4 pair, auto-adjusts, so cross-overs are not needed at all for gigabit rigging.

Cross connect the orange pair/ green pairs with solid to solid, stripe to stripe. This will work for  any standard T-568A or T-568B connected cat5/6 cable. (~all)
